But sometimes life gets a little nutty, and since August first, a lot of things have happened.
The husband and I hit our busiest wedding season ever with one stretch of five weddings in the course of six weeks.
We celebrated the wedding of close family friends...in Alaska. On a fishing boat. Probably the most unique wedding I've ever photographed. Possibly the most challenging and the most fun as well!
I turned thirty.
We attended the third annual Rome Valley Vineyards winemaker's dinner at Club 33 at Disneyland. I don't think I'll ever get over how ironic it is to walk through the park in formal attire.
I spent the night in the hospital with a pulmonary embolism. It turns out that the same genetic abnormality that gave my youngest brother blood clots in his lungs at age 19 also effects me. It was fortunate for me that my brother had already been through it because the doctors knew what to look for when I started exhibiting some of the symptoms.
Jim turned thirty-one, and we celebrated by going to see his favorite team play the Sacramento Kings. I got a lot of flack for being in the wrong kind of shirt (although MINE shouldn't have been a Kings shirt either...if I had to choose a team it would be the Warriors), but sometimes you just have to support your husband, right?
We took Jim's truck on it's maiden voyage through the snow to attend a Christmas party. The truck did ok, but we still had to trudge up a pretty steep hill in our boots to get there.
